Position Overview

Ultimate Staffing is actively seeking a dedicated Packer for the Shipping Department to join their client's team in High Point, North Carolina. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in preparing furniture pieces for shipment, ensuring that all items are packed securely and meet the company's high standards for quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Receive fully assembled and upholstered furniture pieces from the Assembler Department for final preparation to ship.
• Inspect finished items for any visible defects, loose materials, or damage before packing.
• Wrap, pad, and protect furniture using appropriate materials (blankets, foam, shrink wrap, cardboard corner protectors, etc.) to prevent damage during transit.
• Securely box, crate, or palletize products according to company packing standards and carrier requirements.
• Use a 2-person buddy system to pack any furniture 40lbs or more.
• Label all packaged items accurately with order information, destination, and handling instructions.

Required Work Hours

Monday to Friday, 1st Shift, 7am-3:45pm with a 45-minute lunch break.

Pay Range: $20 per hour
